According to Art. 112 of the Labor Code, 1-8 of January, including Christmas on January 7, are non-working holidays. This year December 31 falls on Monday, so the government issued an order on the rational use of weekends. The working day was rescheduled for December 29 (Saturday). Due to this, the current work week has become a six-day. At the same time, the last working day of this year December 29, will be abbreviated.
New Year’s holidays in 2019 will last from December 31 to January 8. The first three-day working week of 2019 will begin on January 9.
