The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission introduced shoe marking on the territory of the EAEU and approved the general procedure for marking shoe products in the EAEU. The corresponding decision dated 08.08.2019 No. 72 is published on the official website of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The decision establishes the possibility of introducing marking in the EAEU according to uniform technical rules and standards with the ability for states to connect to the marking system as they are technologically, organizationally and regulatory-ready.
According to the document, the EAEU member states independently determine the date of introduction and the procedure for marking shoe products on their territory. At the same time, a ban on the circulation of unmarked shoe products cannot be introduced earlier than March 1, 2020.
The solution contains:
- list of footwear to be marked with identification means;
- means of identification, their characteristics, the procedure for their generation;
- requirements for the format, composition and structure of information on labeled goods;
- the minimum composition of information about the marked product contained in the information system for marking goods.
