President called low inflation a risk factor for the economy

Low inflation is not a clear positive factor for the economy. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of his speech at the plenary session of the “Russia Calling!” Forum.

“The current increase in consumer prices is 3.6%, and at the beginning of next year, we can very well see 3% and maybe even lower. Decrease in inflation is faster than we expect” – said Vladimir Putin. And he further explained that this carries “certain risks for the revitalization of the economy, for the dynamics of aggregate demand”.

According to the head of state, the authorities keep the issue of inflation under constant control, due to which we can talk about a certain stabilization of its indicators. As RBC reports today, according to the president, this is a great achievement for Russia, the result of the systematic work of the government and the Central Bank.
