Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called on metropolitan employers to transfer workers to remote work for the period of the coronavirus pandemic. The corresponding message is posted on the official website of the capital’s mayor.
The head of the city noted that to date, dozens of enterprises and organizations have voluntarily transferred their employees to work remotely.
“In the circumstances, I appeal to all employers in the city of Moscow to follow their example and, if possible, transfer part of your workers to work from home. This is especially true for women whose children will not go to school in the coming weeks. Thus, you will make a huge contribution to the fight against coronavirus infection” – the mayor said.
At the same time, the head of the city reminded employers that remote work means fulfilling labor duties with payment of salaries, and asked businessmen not to replace remote work with forced vacations at their own expense.
