The minimum wage norm will be reflected in the constitution of the Russian Federation

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the announcement of the annual message to the Federal Assembly, proposed fixing the norm in the Constitution of the Russian Federation that the minimum wage cannot be lower than the living wage.

The head of state noted that he did not see the need to adopt a new Constitution of the Russian Federation. But at the same time, according to Vladimir Putin, the fundamental law of the country must be “made some changes that directly guarantee the priority of the Russian Constitution in our legal space”.

In particular, the president proposed fixing new norms in the Constitution of the Russian Federation regarding the social obligations of the state.
