The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Maxim Topilin said that according to forecasts of the ministry in 2020, the real wages of Russians will increase by 2.3%, and real disposable cash incomes – by 1.5%.
The head of the Ministry of Labor also specified how wages of workers in the public sector of the economy will change.
“Salaries of the categories indicated in the presidential decrees of May 2012 will continue to be correlated with the average monthly income from labor activity in the region. This indicator is growing, which means that the salary of these categories of state employees is also growing” – said Maxim Topilin.
According to the minister, the wages of public sector employees not included in the May decrees of the President of the Russian Federation (for example, personnel officers, lawyers, accountants, engineering and auxiliary workers of budgetary institutions) will be indexed by 3% from October 1, 2020. In 2021 and 2022, also from October 1, the wages of these workers will also be indexed by 4%, quoted the words of Maxim Topilin, “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
